That’s right people, we will be a hosting a bowling event for our April meeting. However, don’t expect to win any ‘big bucks’ like the famous television show from the 1970’s (remember it?). Instead, we will be giving back to our community, something near and dear for many of our members.
The charity we’ve chosen for this event is the Halton Women’s Place. It is an organization that provides shelter and crisis services for physically, emotionally, financially and sexually abused women and their dependent children. They are dedicated to ending violence against women and their children. HWP serves the Halton Region community (Burlington, Milton & Oakville).
Each member will “donate” $15 to this event, which will go directly to the charity. Communicators Connection will pay for your food along with an hour of bowling and your rental shoes if you’re so inclined to join us on the lanes. Communicators Connection will also be matching your $15 donation to help our pot grow a little bigger.
Not a bowler? That’s completely fine. Come out anyway, support a great cause and join us for some networking, great food and company while you cheer on your fellow CC bowlers. Just be sure to indicate below that you won’t be bowling so we have accurate numbers for the evening.
We hope to see many of you at this very special event as we welcome the warmer weather and show off our philanthropic side. Feel free to invite your business colleagues, neighbours and even your spouse or partner to this fun and exciting event. The more the merrier as we gather to help a very worthy charitable organization and have some fun to boot. See you there!
